Now staying at aunt's house in VA but still 2 1/2 hours away from Luray. They call it "Camp Scruffy" (Scruffy=their dog, Scruffy=Playful+Awesome)...

Jellystone Park

We stayed camping at Jellystone Park in Luray, VA so we could stay near Luray Caverns.

At Jellystone there was a water slide, a mini-golf course, two pools, laser tag, nature show, arcade, and more!

We camped in the deluxe camping site. We got a very large mat for our tent, a campfire, a covered picnic table, and close access to everything.

Luray Caverns

This past weekend I went to Luray Caverns and camped out for two nights at Jellystone Park (Featuring Yogi Bear). The tour of Luray Caverns is 1.5 miles of walking. There are 11 wonders of Luray Caverns.

No. 1: Dream Lake. Dream Lake is a lake that is so still, the reflection looks EXACTLY like above

No. 2: Pluto's Ghost. Pluto's Ghost is a column that seems like it is following you, since you see it throughout the tour four times.

No. 3: Washington Column. Washington Column is the column the explorers first discovered, naming it Washington after the first president.

No. 4: The Stalacpipe Organ. The stalacpipe organ is a piano that makes noises by tapping on over 250 stalactites and stalagmites.

No. 5: The Wishing Well. The wishing well is a pool that is six feet deep but looks two feet deep. Over thirty-thousand dollars are deposited each year in the wishing well.

No. 6: Fried Eggs. The fried eggs are two stalagmites broken off and rubbed enough to look exactly like fried eggs.

No. 7: The Double Column. The Double Column is a stalagmite and a stalactite right next to each other, both touching the opposite floor and ceiling.

No. 8: Saracen's Tent. Saracen's Tent is a "tent" made out of stalactites that look a lot like curtains.

No. 9: Titania's Veil. Titania's Veil is a bunch of white flow stone that looks a lot like a frozen wedding veil.

No. 10: Totem Poles. The Totem Poles are a group of columns that represent Native American totem poles.

No. 11: Frozen Fountain. The frozen fountain looks like Titania's Veil just thirty feet wide and twenty feet long.
